Tiscali TV
Following Tiscali's acquisition of Home Choice they are one now of the first major Broadband providers in the UK to provide IPTV. Tiscali TV requires an engineer installation of a digital box into your home which will provide Tiscali Digital TV, Telephone calls, Line Rental and Tiscali Broadband. Tiscali TV will be delivered via the broadband path of your telephone line, so there is no Satellite dish and no need for street cabling.
With Tiscali TV you will be able to pick from over 60 exciting digital and on demand TV channels (VOD). VOD (Video On Demand) makes TV content available instantaneously which means that the customer can use the little time they have available more productively and always find what they want to watch without hours of mindless channel-hopping. This gives customers complete control of what they want to watch and when.
With Tiscali TV you will also have Movies On Demand with a choice from over 1000 favourite blockbuster movies at a cost between £2 and £3.50 for 24 hour rental. Using the Replay feature Tiscali TV customers can watch BBC channels up to 7 days after the first showing, With the Replay feature you will also have DVD-like functions such as rewind, forward and pause.
There will be a basic page of around 30 channels and the max pack with 60. There will also be other programmes packs you can subscribe to such as Sky by wire, Asian channels, African channels amongst others. IPTV is the future of Digital TV putting you, the customer in the driving seat with regards what you watch and when you want to watch it. *Please note the availability of Tiscali TV will depend on where Tiscali have unbundled their platforms into exchanges around the country. It will be a regionalised product similar to cable.
